🍰🤍 Southern Pound Cake
Warm, buttery, and straight from the heart — this bar is a tribute to the scent of a southern kitchen filled with love and laughter.
Southern Pound Cake was inspired by memories of my mother baking pound cake on Sunday afternoons. During my research, I discovered that vanilla essential oil promotes healthy skin because it’s rich in niacin, thiamin, vitamin B6, and pantothenic acid — all of which play an important role in maintaining healthy skin and hair. Vanilla essential oil also helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improves skin texture. Combined with the natural benefits of my goat milk soap base — high in vitamins A, D, E & K and rich in moisture — this sweet, creamy bar nourishes the skin while soothing the senses. To complete the blend, I’ve added melted sugar and a hint of bourbon to give it the deep, warm aroma of freshly baked cake rising in the oven. It’s comfort, nostalgia, and southern sweetness all wrapped up in one handmade bar of soap.

Cacao essential oil is derived directly from the cacao bean, and when it is extracted, the omega-6 fatty acids follow it into the essential oils. Omega-6 fatty acids help to boost natural collagen production and firm up the skin. Spearmint essential oil properties provide a refreshing and mild cooling experience to the skin — perfect for those with sensitive skin. Spearmint E.O. also helps mask the appearance of acne scars, blemishes, and redness caused by acne. I’ve combined these two essential oils for several reasons and primarily because so many customers love the combination of scents. At my age, I love anything that helps enhance youthful skin! So along with this combination and the goat milk soap benefits of natural lactic acid which exfoliates dead skin cells stimulating the production of new skin cells — packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K which are essential for skin health — I believe this creation is a wonderful soap to aid in the anti-aging department, scars, blemishes, and redness! Not to mention the incredible moisturizing oils in the ingredients of this bar of soap!
